Immerse yourself in style and luxury in this premiere 5 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath Penthouse unit on the top 2 levels of the Peaks Resort in Mountain Village. Sparing no attention to detail, this stunning penthouse is perfect for both entertaining and relaxing.
Enter the Penthouse via the impressive formal entry. Turning Right or Left from here will bring you to the 3-part Great Hall. This space encompasses the formal Living room, 10-person Dining area, Sitting area with large flatscreen, gourmet Kitchen, oversized island with bar seating, and 2 viewing balconies. The living room features a gas fireplace, views of Palmyra Peak and Mount Wilson, and ample plush seating. The kitchen enjoys top of the line Wolf appliances, a magnificent custom copper hood vent over the gas range, large oversized Island with dark gray soapstone countertop, and bar seating for 5. The formal dining table is across the island, with impressive large wooden table and seating for 10. The TV viewing area has more comfy seating, a built in desk area, a plush window seat to enjoy a good book while overlooking the stunning St Sophia Ridge. A second viewing balcony is off this area of the home.
The master suite to the right of the entryway enjoys a king bed, a wall of windows with views of both the Mount Wilson Range (spectacular sunsets!) and Palmyra Peak. Large built-in TV, his and her built-in wardrobes, and a luxurious bathroom complete with deep copper soaking tub, his and her copper wash basins, and large walk-in shower with dual showerheads.
To the left of the entryway are 2 bedrooms: each with a queen bed, TV, private en suite water closet, and views of the St Sophia Ridge. A shared shower area is located in the hallway between.
Going up to the 2nd floor from the entryway, there is a cozy media room with large flatscreen, 4-person table for cards or puzzles, and L-shaped sofa and chair for lounging. The 4th and 5th bedrooms are off this room sharing a full bath in between. Each bedroom has a queen bed and a walk out balcony enjoying a panoramic vista of the Mountain Village and surrounding slopes and mountain peaks.
While in residence at the Penthouse, guests enjoy complimentary use of the 42,000 sq. ft. Spa at the Peaks. The spa features indoor/outdoor pool, lap pool, indoor & outdoor hot tubs, sauna & steam rooms, fitness center, wellness classes, and more.
All Parking at the Peaks Resort is Valet and fees do apply for all vehicles. Penthouse residences do not receive hotel-style housekeeping services.
The Peaks Resort is just steps from the pedestrian core of the Mountain Village where you will find dining, shopping, nightlife and the gondola to downtown Telluride. Summary: Peaks Resort and Spa is a great place to stay. This penthouse is not managed by the hotel but by a separate property management company. The WiFi in the unit was not working, the property manager could not get it fixed during our stay and that made everything more difficult to manage. However there was WiFi in the hotel lobby which we ended up using. Various small things were amiss. The shower diverter didn’t work so you couldn’t use the handheld in the master shower. The door handle to the second exterior deck was broken so you couldn’t access it. Don’t get me wrong…the unit is beautiful…but it wrong to use your guests to tell the property manager what is deficient in the unit after they have begun their stay. All of the things I mention, in and of themselves, could be avoided with a more actively engaged property management team. If I owned this unit, I would audit the service request response sequence from one stay to the next, making sure concerns of guests were addressed. Just my opinion. Again, this is a beautiful unit five bedroom unit with top drawer amenities. It just needs better follow through by the property manager so that the features in the unit work properly.

Summary: Spacious and well appointed unit with wonderful Mountain View’s. Enjoyed the amenities of the Peaks Resort. The Peaks offer slope side rental gear (we were not aware). While the 2 smaller rooms on the main floor have their own toilet, they do share a shower. I did not notice that in the description so just beware (no big deal). Overall a great stay!

Summary: Our family had a wonderful time staying in this penthouse for three weeks this summer. We hosted family, and found the space to be perfect for spreading out when needed. And when it was just us the space was cozy and a beautiful spot to work and relax after spending time in Telluride and Mountain Village. The Peaks staff is LOVELY. You can’t go wrong booking here.
